Highly-regarded national law firm in desirable location is currently searching for an Health Sciences/FDA Attorney with 5-6 years of regulatory experience. Candidate's experience should include some or all of the following areas: FDA law, federal and state regulation of clinical research and IRBs, HIPAA as applied to research, conflicts of interest in research, research misconduct, genetic research, healthcare fraud and abuse and reimbursement. Transactional experience in drafting and negotiating research agreements and subcontracts is desirable. Must be able to assume substantial amounts of responsibility and demonstrated ability to work independently; excellent oral and written communication skills; prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice preferred.
IN-HOUSE SENIOR CORPORATE PARALEGAL OPPORTUNITY - Greater Los Angeles Area
This is a newly created key position in the legal department of a NYSE listed company; location in the greater Los Angeles area. Major duties and responsibilities encompass a broad range of senior corporate paralegal activities, including involvement in M&A and corporate financing transactions of a domestic and international scope, federal securities law compliance, Board of Directors matters, and corporate maintenance functions at both parent-company and subsidiary levels.
The minimum education required is a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university. Paralegal certification from ABA approved program (desirable) or equivalent practical experience is required. The knowledge and skills required include: sound knowledge of corporate law and federal securities law; strong analytical and communication skills; strong people and organizational skills to deal with Board of Directors matters; strong ability to follow instructions and work independently, exercising good judgment and discretion; and rock-solid credibility and integrity.
The experience required includes: a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal in the U.S., including substantial experience at a senior level in the corporate legal department of a large law firm or large public company, performing sophisticated work, preferably in mergers & acquisitions and federal securities law; and substantial experience in dealing with and/or working for international companies.
The company offers excellent compensation including participation in the bonus plan ,as well as a range of other benefits. Position reports to the General counsel and will also have interface with several other attorneys in the law department.
